Credit card companies also offer other payment options that you might not have imagined. Keep in mind that not all banks may offer these payment options, but a majority do. Contact your specific credit card issuer to verify their payment options.

1. Western Union / Quick Collect
2. Bank Wire Transfer
3. Electronic Automatic Deduction
4. Payment by Phone
5. Branch Bank Payment

Another alternative to an online credit card payment would be sending it by an express courier. Courier services include UPS, Federal Express, The US Postal Service, and Airborne Express. Be aware that sending a payment by an express courier requires a physical delivery address. Find several express payment addresses below.

Some final methods for paying a credit card bill include third party bill pay services and good ole snail mail. A common misconception of bill pay services is that once you "post" a payment with the service, the credit card company will have it the same day. This is usually not the case. Check with your bill pay service to verify their transfer timeframe. It can be as long as 3 to 5 days!

When you use snail mail to send your payment to a creditor, allow 5 to 7 days for receipt. As much as we all would like to believe that the post office works in 1 to 2 days, that is normally not the case. Ever heard not to include your credit card account number on your check by television, radio, news, and so forth? Go ahead, it's safe. Your account number cannot be used without a valid expiration date and in most cases a security code.

Here are a few payment addresses I've located for your use. Bookmark them for quick reference, it might save you a phone call.

However you decide to pay your credit card, always make sure to pay it ahead of time. This will guarantee that you never get a credit card late fee. Late fees can be expensive. I know you don't want that extra expense, neither would I. My personal choice for credit card payment will always remain an online credit card payment. I have not written a check to a credit card for going on 7 years! Why should you?
