Credit Cards Without Fees, Get Real!
| | So the question of the day is, are there any credit cards without fees? Everyone would enjoy a card without fees, but like the title says, get real! The credit industry is big business and big credit business makes money charging fees like interest or finance charges, late fees, over the credit line fees, fees to pay by phone, returned check fees, annual fees, cash advance fees, some even banks even charge for paper statements and the list can go on. So no, you are highly unlikely to find one without any fees whatsoever but if you do, I'd like to know. |
Heck even my checking account now has a fee if I don't carry a minimum average of $1,500 and have some amount of electronic deposits. I have even been a loyal customer to this bank for about 15 years without any fee until now. Every bank is charging fees these days for everything the banking and credit industry can think of. Before getting a new card it is always good to examine all the fine print that comes with the card application and lists the fees. When the application is online, you should see a link to the Terms and Conditions, or something similar. In general, you should always read that information that a lot of people normally do not read. Use this to credit card information to compare different cards side by side to determine which one you will save the most with. It is always good to ake advantage of those low APR cards too. | | |
The easiest way to avoid fees on your card is to use the card like cash, only use it for what you can pay back each month. This way when you get the bill and can pay it off in full, you will avoid finance charges. You'll even avoid a late fee if you pay it in full before the due date too. | | Finally, it might be a good idea to offset the cost of fees and finance charges with a cash reward card. This type of card will give you cash back on your purchases you make with the credit card. If you don't want cash rewards, there are many other rewards in the market to choose from. Many rewards like points for merchandise and airline rewards. Keep in mind though that some of the airline programs and a few other type of reward programs charge an annual fee. Who wants to pay one of those? |
Now that I have answered question one and gave you little insight into card fees, on to the second question of the website.
